The Making of the Tower Bedroom
( Our most challenging bedroom to date)
Planning
In some certain cases total re-imagination of a space is required. Here major renovation, total floors, several layers of plaster for the walls, new drainage and water pipe connections to create an en-suite bathroom, complete new wiring, renovation of original wooden ceilings and beams, new windows and obviously lastly and most importantly designer decorating were required. Here was one such enormous job and results.

Project Management
Such a large amount of alterations, blocking, unblocking, measuring designing a small space for a washbasin and WC. Waterproofing and combining tiling with wooden floors. adding door-frames and renovating old windows and original old ceiling by hand completed the long list of tasks being designed and managed on this job.

Decorate to fit the Surroundings
This is where we brought the surrounding Park, (beyond the oval window) into the building and into the design of the coziest bedroom in the property. Using earthy, neutral shades with nautural motifs of Flora and Fauna.

Working within Parameters
Originally an extension and a completely seperate room. We Managed not only to join the room onto the adjacent apartment, giving that 2 bedrooms, but managed to carefully calculate that by installing a free standing victorian bath and building a WC/washroom we could create a very romantic ensuite.

Details
If you have ever renovated by hand original wooden windows or ceilings from the 19th Century??

Accessorise & Design
This is the fun part. Oriental silver light fittings, lanterns and lamps, wooden blinds, cosy matching curtains, dark wooden framed accessories and mirrors completed the natural/ oriental/ warm/ romantic effect for this bedroom.
